Fiction is my first love, and here in July 2009 I'm currently working on my first novel. (Yes, it's about vampires. Try not to faint.)
In the meantime I've been having a blast for the last year writing stories set in an alternate version of Austin, where vampires, Elves, Witches, and all sorts of dangerous creatures share the city and it's up to a classified branch of the FBI - the Shadow Agency - to keep the streets safe.
The major characters include
Sara Larson - a telepathic Witch whose life as a file clerk comes crashing violently to a halt when the Agency shows up at her door
Jason Adams - the lead Agent of the Texas branch, a charismatic vampire with a violin called the Tempest and a gun named Vera
Rowan - a powerful Elf, once a sacred courtesan, now a government Agent and liason to the swiftly dwindling Clans of his people
Beck Adams - Jason's twin sister, gifted with a sharp wit and even sharper weapons
Lex - a dying young human transformed, first into a vampire, then into something even the Shadow Agency has never seen
