The Year in Review, part 2

...and here is the second half of the list of my favorite post of the year.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck around since last September--I tell myself I would write even if no one read my work, but like most writers I'm a bit of an egomaniac, and believe me, your comments and warm fuzzies have kept me at this even when I've dreaded the thought of typing another long, drawn-out sentence.  I hope that long-time readers, as well as relative newcomers, will put up their feet and stay a while.

The Year in Review, part 1

September 7 will mark the one-year anniversary of this blog.

It seems strange to think, looking at the first official entry, that it's been an entire year--strange to think of those things that have changed, and those things that haven't.  On the outside my life may look very much the same as it did last September.  On the inside, however...these past twelve months have felt like a lifetime.

To commemorate this most auspicious occasion, this week I'll be offering a two-part list recounting my favorite posts this year.  It may seem hopelessly self-indulgent, and, well, it is, but as we are finally inching toward Autumn here in Texas, it seems doubly appropriate to look back over the months and consider where I've been.

If I ever figure out where I'm going, I'll let you know.

The Naming of Names

And now, a few words about writing, a meander about naming, and a bit with a trout.

A rolling Witch gathers no moss

It's barely a week into the new year and I'm already busy busy.  I've been working on an official web page for EarthDance, which I'm launching off my TypePad account so it will be easy to update and maintain.  I may change that in the future, but for now, I kind of like how it looks.  If you peek at it, note that it's still only about a quarter done, and there's going to be a wealth of information there by the time I'm finished.  As it is, I think it's kind of pretty (although it looks pretty much just like every blog I design--but hey, go with what works, right?).
